Consultations
A visit or treatment from a Feng Shui or Dowsing practitioner
for a fee is referred to as a
consultation. Such consultations are available from Ced Jackson.
It is useful if the client has a specific objective
in mind when requesting a consultation.
This could, for example, relate to health, career, relationships,
parents and role models (such as academic or intellectual figures), finance,
friends, creativity, or reflection and spiritual issues.
Three main topics will be considered :
- The Client
- The Location (i.e. the house, garden and
surrounding area)
- The Client in relation to their location
In practical terms this
includes :
A Dowsing Survey of the Property
This will establish the presence ~ if any ~ of lines or zones of detrimental
energy.
Particular note will be taken of lines which affect areas where people spend a
great deal of time, such as the bedroom, or a favourite armchair.
'Predecessor Energy'
A consideration of what has gone before within the property, and if work needs
to be done to clear any remaining energetic traces.
Interventions to transform the detrimental energy
This might include earth acupuncture, or related interventions.
An examination of house, plot and neighbourhood
'Design' issues
This is known as 'Form School' Feng Shui, and is intended to identify problems
which might affect different members of the household, and the simple steps that
can be taken to remedy the situation.
Landscape Influences
How comfortable we are in a our house may be influenced by how the house fits
into the landscape. In areas where the landscape is 'strong', such as in
the Lake District or around the Malvern Hills, this could become important for
the well being of the occupants.
Orientation
Known as 'Compass School' Feng Shui, the aspect of the house and the plot
(e.g. south facing) will be considered for favourable and detrimental influences,
and appropriate action identified.
A check on electrical, magnetic and microwave radiation within the property
Especially in the bedroom, and other place where people spend a lot of time, and
a consideration of what can be done to reduce exposure. For example,
hairdryers are often left plugged in within bedrooms. Even if they are
switched off, they can carry current, and hairdryers are really small electric
fires. There are other techniques for reducing exposure.
Time and tide
considerations
The astrology of the various members of the household may be considered
Energetic Protection
An assessment will be made of any necessary actions with regard to this
Time
All consultations are different, and
consultations can range from two to five hours. If the client has a time
limit (e.g. because they have to collect children from school), the consultation
will be geared to that requirement.
All consultations are
confidential. Ced has insurance from the SMG company for his Feng Shui
work. SMG specialises in insurance for complementary practitioners.
Ced is an accredited
consultant with the UK Feng Shui
Society, and is listed as such on its website.
The Consultation
If you would like to explore
the possibility of having a consultation, please give me a ring on 01684 560265.
It is useful if you can be as
clear as possible about why you would like to have a consultation, and what you
would like to achieve. It is also fine if you consider that your house
'just doesn't feel right', or 'that something is adrift' which you would like to
sort out.
The consultation will take
place at your home and might last between two and five hours.
Your family
If you are married or live
with a partner it is ideal if both of you can be present for the consultation,
especially if the issue affects you both. If that is not possible, or if
you would prefer, the consultation could take place with just yourself present.
The consultation and
personal safety
So that you feel completely
comfortable during the consultation, if you live alone you may wish to consider
in advance if you are happy with having someone ~ a man ~ who you may not have
met before, in your house alone with you for several hours.
It is therefore perfectly
reasonable from a safety perspective to invite a friend to be with you during
the consultation if you so wish. However, please be aware that the
consultation will be concerned with the issues which you would like to resolve,
and may therefore involve some discussion on personal topics. In order to
have an open discussion between the client and the consultant, it would be
helpful if the friend could be in another room while such discussions take
place. It would also be helpful if the friend is asked not to comment on the
process or the discussions during the consultation.
A photo of my good self
appears on this website so that you are sure that you are letting the
right person into your house. Personal references can also be provided.
The day of the consultation
Do not feel that you have to
clean the house or tidy things up. In fact, it is much better if
the house is in its usual condition.
During the consultation
energies present may be adjusted or released, and in some cases that may have a
mild effect on the client, in the same way that you might feel a bit spaced out
after a massage or a long bath.
You are therefore recommended
not to do anything after the consultation which involves anything like
clambering about on ladders, or detailed paper work. If you can avoid
driving for the rest of the day that would be ideal. If you do have to
drive, give yourself plenty of time for your journey and take care.
Remembering what was said during the consultation !
You are welcome to take notes
if you wish. In addition to the consultation, if you would like to have a
report, that can be negotiated. You are welcome to tape record the
consultation if you wish, though in my experience recording something over a
long period of time ~ with at least two participants who may be moving around
the house ~ is often not very successful.
Decide what you want from the consultation
Be as clear as possible about
what is troubling you and what you want.
Confidentiality
Consultations are always
confidential and the privacy of the client is respected. Feng Shui is a
large and complicated subject and in certain cases, the consultant may wish to
refer to colleagues who are experts in particular fields. In such cases
no information identifying the client is revealed to third parties.
